Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to common questions about scheduling, weather, pricing, property access, payments, recurring service, and what to expect when working with Revolution Lawn Care.
Quotes & New Service
How do I request a quote?
The easiest way is through our online Request a Quote form. You can provide your property address, service needs, and any helpful details or photos.
Do you need to visit the property first?
Not always. Some properties can be evaluated from the information provided, available property data, and photos. Larger cleanups, unusual properties, or special projects may require an in-person assessment before a quote is prepared.
Do you offer one-time mowing?
One-time service may be available depending on the property, current route capacity, and condition of the lawn. Recurring clients generally receive scheduling priority.
Do you have a minimum service charge?
Yes. Minimum pricing helps cover travel, equipment, labor, insurance, and the time required to service a property professionally. Exact pricing depends on the property and work requested.
Weekly, Biweekly & Route Scheduling
Do you offer weekly and biweekly mowing?
Yes. Availability depends on property type, location, season, and route capacity. Weekly service is generally best during periods of active growth.
Why can biweekly service cost more per visit?
A lawn serviced every two weeks often requires more cutting, trimming, cleanup, and time per visit than a lawn maintained weekly. Pricing reflects the actual work required.
Will my service always happen on the exact same day?
We build consistent routes, but weather, holidays, equipment, access issues, and seasonal workload can shift a service day. We work to keep recurring visits as consistent as possible.
What happens when grass goes dormant?
Service frequency may be adjusted based on growth, property requirements, and the type of maintenance agreement in place. Commercial or year-round properties may continue on a different seasonal schedule.
Rain, Heat & Service Delays
Do you mow in the rain?
We avoid mowing when conditions could damage the lawn, create unsafe working conditions, rut the property, or produce a poor result.
What happens if weather delays my visit?
Weather delays are worked back into the route as conditions allow. During extended rain periods, schedules can shift while we catch up safely and responsibly.
Will you mow during drought conditions?
If a lawn is dormant, stressed, or not actively growing, mowing may be unnecessary or could cause additional stress. Service decisions may be adjusted based on actual property conditions.
Can extreme heat affect scheduling?
Yes. Crew safety and equipment conditions matter. Severe heat can affect route timing, but we work to keep customers informed when material schedule changes are necessary.
Property Access & Preparation
What should I do with pets?
Please keep pets safely inside or otherwise secured during service. This protects your pets and allows our crew to work safely.
What if my gate is locked?
Please make sure required gates are unlocked or that we have the agreed access information before service. Inaccessible areas may be skipped and may still affect the visit charge.
Should I move toys, hoses, and furniture?
Yes. Please remove toys, hoses, cords, pet waste, loose objects, and other items from lawn areas before service whenever possible.
What about vehicles in the work area?
Please move vehicles or equipment that prevent access to areas being serviced. We cannot guarantee completion of areas that are blocked.
What Is Included in Routine Lawn Service?
What does standard mowing include?
Standard recurring lawn maintenance typically includes mowing, string trimming, edging where appropriate, and blowing grass clippings from hard surfaces.
Do you haul away normal grass clippings?
No. Normal mowing does not include hauling away grass clippings. Clippings are generally dispersed back into the lawn unless otherwise specified in a separate service agreement.
Do you bag every property?
No. Bagging is not automatically included with routine mowing. If a property requires additional collection or disposal work, that must be quoted separately when available.
What if the lawn is extremely overgrown?
Heavy overgrowth is not treated as normal recurring maintenance. It may require an initial reset, cleanup, brush cutting, or additional labor before regular service can begin.
Overgrowth, Debris & Larger Jobs
Do you clean up overgrown properties?
Yes. We handle many neglected and overgrown properties. These jobs are evaluated separately from routine mowing because the labor, equipment, and disposal requirements can vary significantly.
Do you haul off debris?
Haul-off may be available as part of a quoted cleanup or special project. Disposal fees, trailer requirements, dump fees, and labor are factored into the project price when applicable.
Do you do tractor work?
Yes. We provide appropriate tractor-supported services such as rotary cutting, acreage maintenance, lot work, and light grading, depending on site conditions and project requirements.
Do you trim shrubs and hedges?
Yes. Shrub and hedge trimming, bed cleanup, and certain light landscape-maintenance services can be quoted separately or included with managed-property service.
Invoices, Taxes & Payment
How do I receive my quote or invoice?
Quotes, invoices, reminders, and other account communication may be delivered digitally through our customer-management system.
How can I pay?
Available payment methods are shown on your invoice or through your customer account. Payment options may vary by job or account.
Is sales tax added?
Applicable taxes are charged as required by law. Certain qualifying organizations may be tax exempt when valid exemption documentation is provided and accepted.
Do commercial clients receive different billing?
Commercial and managed-property accounts may have billing terms, service schedules, or invoicing arrangements established in their agreement or approved quote.
Keeping Service Running Smoothly
How do I pause or cancel service?
Contact us as early as possible if you need to change, pause, or cancel service. Commercial agreements may contain separate notice or cancellation requirements.
What if I need to skip one visit?
Please contact us before your scheduled route whenever possible. Skipping visits can affect lawn condition, future service time, and recurring pricing.
What happens if we cannot access the property?
Locked gates, blocked access, unsafe conditions, uncontrolled pets, or other access problems may prevent service. Additional policies may apply depending on the situation.
Can pricing change?
Pricing can change if the property condition, scope, frequency, access, service requirements, or other material conditions change. We aim to communicate changes before ongoing work is performed.
Property Managers & Business Accounts
Commercial properties may have individual scopes of work, approved service frequencies, seasonal schedules, communication requirements, invoicing terms, or property-specific instructions.
When a signed contract, accepted quote, purchase order, or written service agreement contains terms different from this general FAQ, the property-specific agreement governs that work.
Communication Policy
By providing contact information and opting in where required, customers may receive communications related to quote requests, scheduling, appointments, service updates, invoices, account support, and other service-related matters.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages and HELP for assistance.
